Personality Offspring Meme: Roxanna

Since I did this for Chalice, it's only fair that I did it for Roxanna.

For Roxy's influences, we have Princes Tiana from Princess and the Frog; it's kinda obvious that Tiana played a big part in my casting Anika Noni Rose for Roxy. The next may tilt some heads, but Mary Poppins was also an influence; I kinda joked to myself that Roxy is what Mary Poppins would be like if she were a policewoman. It's Mary's kind-hearted, motherly and almost saint-like patience that's one of Roxy's characteristics (Hey! It comes quite in handy when you have to deal with the likes of a certain Opossum! ).

And lastly, we have Marge Gunderson from Frago. While I haven't seen the rest of the movie, Fargo all the way, I feel that Roxy is very much like Marge, in the sense that their strength in character comes from their compassion, optimism and restraint. Also, both women may not have extremely glamorous or luxurious lifestyles, they do find happiness and joy from the simplest of things and being happy for what they have, rather than what they don't. "There's more to life than a little money, you know? Don't you know that?"
